Severe Weather Procedures

At Faithful Beginnings Preschool, the safety of your children and our staff is our top priority. In the event of severe weather, we will adhere to the closing advisories issued by the Pinellas County School Board. 

Stay Informed:  

Severe weather can be unpredictable. For the latest updates, please stay connected to your local news stations. The Pinellas County School Board carefully considers all safety factors, including storms, wind, flooding, and electricity outages, when deciding on school closures.

Important Considerations:  

There may be times when it seems safe to attend school, but factors such as power outages, flooded roads, or debris can make travel dangerous. For this reason, closures may occur even when conditions appear manageable.

Timing of Closures:  

Please be aware that school closures can be announced at any time, even overnight or during the school day. It is crucial to stay updated via TV and radio. Faithful Beginnings Preschool will follow the same procedures as Pinellas County schools for closures and reopenings.

Prepare in Advance:  

We strongly encourage you to arrange for alternate childcare before a storm hits. This preparation ensures you are not caught off guard.

Emergency Pick-Up:  

If a school closure or a tropical storm/hurricane warning is issued during school hours, we will contact you immediately to pick up your child. Our goal is to ensure that all families and staff can get home safely and promptly.
